Arrival Day: Our driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Depending on your arrival time we can add a nights accommodation in Arusha (not included) or if you arrive early enough you can start off for your first safari destination, just let us know what works best for you!

 

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Leave Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara is surrounded by a lush tropical forest filled with mahogany and fig trees. During the game drive spend time enjoying the parks magnificent birds, baboons, giraffe, hippopotamus, elephant, and buffalo. If you are really lucky, you may even see Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions! Spend your evening at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will leave for the Serengeti. As you make your way through the Ngorongoro Highland you will see Masai villages and herdsmen along the way. Serengeti National Park is a vast and beautiful expanse spanning 5,600 square miles and holds the largest concentration of plain animals in the world. The migration months offer excellent opportunities to view animal behavior due to the abundance of both predators and prey. There are hundreds of birds and animals to see in the Serengeti including wildebeest, cheetah, zebra, lion, giraffe, antelope and much more. Enjoy overnight your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day in Serengeti National Park. Journey to the remote hippo pools and the lesser traveled areas of the Serengeti in search of the "Big 5" African animals. Enjoy your overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day in Serengeti National Park. Make your way to some of the more remote areas of the Serengeti in hopes of seeing "the hunt". If you are patient you may be lucky enough to see lions or hyenas as they stalk their prey. Overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro
After breakfast you will make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater rim. On your way you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Olduvia Gorge where Louis & Mary Leakey's work has been instrumental in furthering the understanding of early human evolution. You will also have the opportunity to visit a Masai Tribe Village and experience the traditional way they have lived for hundreds of years. (Olduvai & Village not included in price) Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy a full day in the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 2000 feet to the crater floor to explore the 100 square miles of this amazing place. The crater provides a protected habitat for thousands of mammals and birds. You have a great chance to see all of the "Big 5" animals in the crater; lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and Cape Buffalo as well as hundreds of wildebeest, zebra and many species of small antelopes. During some seasons, the soda lake on the crater floor is crowded with flamingo and other water birds. Enjoy your overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire to discover the giant termite mounds and baobab trees of Tarangire. This park is also home to thousands of elephants. The vegetation of this park consists of open acacia woodland and many baobab trees. Tarangire is an ornithologists paradise, offering an incredible diversity of birds. Enjoy your overnight at your lodge (location depends on availability.)

Day 8: Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Spend the majority of the day exploring Tarangire National Park. Leave the park in the late afternoon for Arusha. Pass by shops to purchase souvenirs on the way back to Arusha. Overnight at an Arusha hotel (location depends on availability.)

Day 9: Arusha to Zanzibar Stone Town to Beach
Leave on the morning flight to Zanzibar. Arrive in Stone Town around noon. Our staff will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your bungalow (location depends on availability.) Spend the rest of your day enjoying the beach.

Day 10: Zanzibar
Spend all day enjoying Zanzibar. Organize a diving lesson with the hotel or visit an offshore island. Return to the bungalow for overnight. (location depends on availability.)

Day 11: Zanzibar
Spend the morning and early afternoon soaking in the sun. During the afternoon you will be transferred back to Stone Town for a final night on the town. Visit the lively outdoor fish restaurants or take a city tour. Spend the night at the Stone Town hotel (location depends on availability.)

Day 12: Zanzibar to Kilimanjaro
Catch an early afternoon flight to return to Kilimanjaro International Airport where you adventure will be complete and you will catch your flight back home.
